What We Do
At The Grove Initiative, we believe that reflection is a key piece of any service opportunity and program we offer. We invite participants to consider their experiences through reflective tools and practices, to become more aware of their reactions and choices, see their efforts in the context of something larger than themselves, and grow their ability to show up compassionately and powerfully in the wider community.
Volunteer Opportunities
In partnership with our nonprofit collaborators, we offer a variety of ways to serve your community. Opportunities range from regularly scheduled group experiences where you can drop in as your schedule allows, to one-time events and need-based projects shaped by our partners’ priorities.
For those seeking a deeper level of engagement, we are also developing Let Your Life Speak: Group Programs to Build Communities Taking Action Together. These facilitated programs are designed to foster connection among volunteers while creating sustained local impact. Participants will build community, take action together, and explore important community issues over the course of several weeks or months.

Community Events
Shared learning opportunities are essential to understanding the history and root causes of community needs and social issues. Our community events create space to learn, reflect, and explore how individual and collective action can make a difference.
We host community forums that highlight pressing issues, amplify local voices, and provide practical ways to get involved. These forums combine education with action, helping participants move from awareness to impact. We also offer ongoing opportunities for community engagement through service and learning. Join us for events like Craft for a Cause, where participants create handmade items while connecting with others. Completed crafts are donated to partner organizations for distribution to those who need them most. Or attend a movie night, where we screen documentaries and facilitate thoughtful discussions on relevant social justice topics. These gatherings encourage dialogue, deepen understanding, and strengthen community connections.
Whether you’re looking to learn, act, or build community and connections with others who care, our events offer welcoming and meaningful ways to get involved.
